The audiobook I narrated, NOT YOUR ALL-AMERICAN GIRL, has been released with some lovely reviews of both this wonderful book and my narration!

Published by Scholastic, this charming story by Wendy Wan-Long Shang and Madelyn Rosenberg had me laughing out loud upon first read.  I was thrilled to voice the tale of “Lauren”, a mixed Asian American & Jewish girl, coming to terms with being cast only in the ensemble of her school musical set in an “All-American town”… while not quite looking all-American (according to her teacher).

I loved the 80s setting, the endearing tale of wanting to play the lead in the school musical, finding one’s voice when being a mix of cultures,  getting to also narrate Lauren’s rockstar Chinese and Jewish grandmothers, and even getting to sing a song or three.  😉   It’s great fun all around!
